Ikebanah comes to FETEN 2026 with Bolero, Viva! and Acasa

Once again, we return to Gijón to take part in the 35th edition of FETEN (European Performing Arts Fair for Children) with three very different productions—two of them international—featuring diverse artistic languages ranging from puppetry and object theatre to contemporary dance, and aimed at a wide variety of audiences.

On Sunday, 22 February, we will present VIVA! by the French-Spanish company La Loquace Cie, a story about social and family taboos under the Franco dictatorship. Using humour as a critical and transformative tool, the piece questions the collective responsibility implicit in individual actions. A unique opportunity to discover a piece that has been included in El País’ list of the 10 best productions of 2025.

From 22 to 24 February, it will be the turn of ACASA by Cia. Ortiga, the company behind emblematic productions such as the award-winning An-ki and Kumulunimbu. On this occasion, they present a short, wordless story through puppets and objects, conceived for non-conventional spaces, where two characters invite us into their peculiar home.

Finally, on Thursday 26 February, Cie DK59 arrives from France to present BOLERO, a fresh and vibrant reinterpretation of Ravel’s celebrated score that explores the gestures of childhood. The tour will continue in March with confirmed dates in Valladolid, Valencia, Madrid, and Alicante.
