FERIANTES, ARBRE and TUMBALAFUSTA awarded at FETEN 2025

At its latest edition, the European Performing Arts Fair for Children (FETEN), held in Gijón, Spain, has recognized three innovative object theatre productions represented by Ikebanah Artes Escénicas.

ARBRE (TREE), by the Catalan company Arrels de Bosc, received the Award for Unique Performance

Directed by Carla Lucea and Michaël Lecuyer, this interactive object theatre piece creates an immersive experience for just four audience members at a time. It invites participants on an introspective journey through a miniature world inspired by nature.

FERIANTES, a production by El Patio Teatro (from La Rioja, Spain) in collaboration with Spain’s Centro Dramático Nacional, won the Best Documentary Theatre Award

After previously receiving the Best Set Design award at the 2024 Fira de Titelles de Lleida, this poetic object theatre production continues to garner recognition. With delicate and evocative staging, it pays tribute to the lives of travelling showpeople who have brought joy to generations across towns and cities.

TUMBALAFUSTA, created by La Ruta 40 in collaboration with renowned object theatre artist Xavier Bobés and musician Pau Matas — and now part of the Ikebanah family — received the Best Object Theatre Award.

Combining object theatre and live music, the production takes young audiences on an imaginative journey where wood comes to life, exploring its expressive potential and prompting reflection on the world around us.
