Guillem Albà is a clown and stage creator with his own language developed over 19 years of creation company. Born in a family dedicated to puppets and with an artistic universe that is constantly evolving, expanding and discovering, his work combines disciplines such as visual theater, clown, puppets, music and gesture theater.
He studied theatre, music, and with mentors like Jango Edwards, who directed his first show. To this date, Guillem Albà has premiered 9 of his own shows and has performed in 16 different countries; seeking laughter, provocation, or poetry.
With Ma Solitud, he delves even deeper into what is essential. He becomes closer to family by immersing himself in the world of puppetry.
In addition to his own shows, he has also worked with several companies such as Rhum i Cia, Titzina Teatre, and Àngel Llàcer. He has directed circus shows and bands such as Love of Lesbian, for whom he created and directed the theatrical show Espejos y Espejismos. He co-directed When I sing, mountains dance, a theatrical adaptation of the novel of the same name. The play was awarded 3 Max awards (2022), including Best Direction.
Curiosity has led Guillem towards writing, publishing his book D’aquí no marxaré mai [I’m not leaving this place] (La Campana, Penguin Random House) as well as collaborating in radio and TV.
