Author, director, skilled actor and manipulator with great sensitivity, Tian Gombau has, over his 35-year career on stages around the world, shown that it is possible to create great and beautiful stories with very little.

In his performances, he creates a magical atmosphere that transports the audience into new worlds of imagination. Under his fingers, everything is transformed with simplicity and poetic power.

In 1992, he founded his own company, Tian Gombau – Companyia de Teatre, with which he has produced and performed in more than 10 shows, touring across 47 countries on 4 continents and performing in 10 different languages. In 2008, after 16 years performing for youth and adult audiences, he changed direction. That year, he created “Stone by stone” (Piedra a piedra), a small-format piece aimed at children aged 2 and up.

Over the years, he has received 28 awards at prestigious national and international festivals. He was nominated for the MAX Performing Arts Awards in 2009 for “Stone by stone” as Best Show for Children and Families, and won the MAX Award in 2020 for “New Shoes” (Sabates Noves) in the same category.
