We are glad to announce the incorporation to IKEBANAH of the show FAR AWAY, a production of the Norwegian company Eilertsen & Granados Teaterkompani in collaboration with the Spanish-Argentinian Company Lamatracataca.
Far Away is an objects, puppets and stop-motion video show, whose dramaturgy is built around the Japanese legend of the red thread of destiny.
The show was produced no less than at the E & G Teater, located in the Arctic Circle (Stamsund, Norway), and has been seen in Spain in TITIRIJAI, TITEREMURCIA and at festivals in Norway, Costa Rica… it has just premiered in Italy in the XIV International Pinerolo Puppet Festival.
In the words of Toni Rumbau: "a refined show for family audiences, a sophisticated and sensitive work" that will accompany us on tour next season.

The Bockety world of Henry and Bucket has been described by the press as a Becket piece for children. It shows the relationship between 2 very opposite characters and is a very tender reflection about friendship, with its ups and downs, little battles and reconciliations.
After a very successful Spanish tour on last February and their Catalan premiere at GREC Festival in Barcelona last July, the Italian company TEATRO DELLE BRICIOLE, is back in Catalonia with their delicious show for 3 to 6 years old: POP UP, a cartoon fossil.

International November news
November started out strong for IKEBANAH, with three of our companies touring internationally (Jordan, Japan, Belgium and The Netherlands) while we will host the Spanish premiere of MISSING by the British company Gecko at Festival de Otoño in Madrid.
GECKO premieres MISSING in Spain
The British company, specialized in physical theatre and mouvement, premieres his most cheered play, MISSING, at Festival de Otoño a Primavera 2017 in Spain.
We will see them from 16th to 18th of November at Sala Roja of Teatros del Canal at 8:30pm everyday.

Both companies have just returned from their tours to Jordan and Japan where they premiered their shows with great success.
Teatre Animal performed LIKE CAT AND DOG in Amman at Haya Cultural Centre captivating Jordan
children and adults from 2nd to 4th November.
Xirriquiteula fascinated Japanese audiences at Matsué Forest Festival in Yakumo with their universal GIRAFFES from 1st to 5th November.

"POP UP" by Teatro delle Briciole at GREC 2017
Ikebanah begins its collaboration with this prestigious Italian theatre company, focused on creations for family audiences, with the show POP UP and the GREC Festival in Barcelona as starting point.
The performance which combines object theatre and 'pop up' animation, has been created by the Italian company in collaboration with the authors of I Sacchi di Sabbia.
The play is an eye-catching mise-en-scene where pop up books, and the characters which emerge from them, come to life throught the performers manipulation and and with a perfect synchronisation between images and sounds, stimulating the audience's imagination.
The performances will be at FUNDACIÓN MIRÓ on the 7th and 8th of July at 7 p.m.

Aracaladanza's beautiful and elegant show inspired by the figure of Leonardo Da Vinci is part of the 70th anniversary programme of Edinburgh International Festival.
Being programmed at the best theatre festival of the world is an honour for the company and for us in IKEBANAH. Sharing Leonardo's magical universe displayed by Enrique Cabrera's wide imagination with the international and local community in Edinburgh will be a reason of joy.

Shanghai Children's Art Theatre (SHCAT) is dedicated to presenting the best performances and shows to children, together with supreme artistic experience. The theatre is dubbed "Big Whale" for its unique building shape and was renovated from the SAIC-GM Pavilion used during the Shanghai 2010 World Expo. It was founded by Madam Soong Ching-Ling who inspired the local community with her words: "children are the future rulers of the world. Exposing them to plays, improving their manners, bringing them enjoyment and sparking their imagination is highly educational and valuable."
