Where do words come from? What was the first dance? What do the abstract drawings in prehistoric caves mean?
In a playful space framed by blackboards and a white floor, anything is possible: drawing on the walls, dancing across the carpet, and even making things move.
Created by choreographer Marc Lacourt and illustrator Delphine Perret, this piece is a true Dadaist and libertarian overflow, where dance becomes drawing and drawing becomes dance.
“Delphine and Marc have fun searching for the first words, the beginning of language, the first dance, the time when a chicken could have been called a tree. With a little help, they organize objects and words, observe, draw, revisit, and play with the order of things: a saucepan that thinks it’s a dog, a stool that believes it’s Fred Astaire. What if the order of the world was born from a great dance? (…) Lacourt returns with an extravagant and lighthearted show.”
Théâtre A Tout Age
“They invite the little ones to rediscover their freedom of movement and speech, their spontaneity to laugh at everything. (…) Delphine Perret and Marc Lacourt weave the meaning of words and reinvent history (…) An invitation to imagination and creativity, to see the world differently and to celebrate the freedom of the mind. A show not to be missed by both young and old alike.”
